Marian Francis Heuerman
May 12th, 1939 - November 17th, 2016
Mary Ann Frances Von Ruden Heuerman, born May 12, 1939, was surrounded by her loving family as she left us all, to dance with her beloved husband, John, on November 17, 2016.Mary was born in Cashton, Wisconsin, but shortly after moved to Tomah, Wisconsin, to grow up on the family farm with her parents Frank and Elizabeth, her 3 sisters Lorraine, Alrita and Carrie, and her brother Lambert. She attended high school in Tomah, and while still in high school met the love of her life, John Heuerman. Shortly after high school they were married, and soon moved to Seattle where he began his career with Boeing.Mary and John were blessed with 4 children, Denise Kennebrew (Edmonds), Mike (Gold Bar), Doug (Bothell) and Mari (Everett). Marys passion in life was her family and being the very best mom ever! Mary never missed a sporting event or social function, always cheering and encouraging, loud and proud. Mary loved to have fun and her laughter rang out above the crowd at every gathering she attended. Mary loved music, and wherever she went, if there was a song playing that she knew, or sometimes didnt, she sang along. Mary never met a stranger so when you went somewhere with her you always had to plan for extra time, as along the way there were babies to admire, conversations to be had, and if you ever ran across a Packers fan, all hope of being on time was lost!Mary had many opportunities to travel with John, and one of her cherished memories was the years they spent in England while he worked for Boeing. Wherever they went they gathered life-long friends along the way.Mary loved gardening and spent many hours grooming and tending to her flowers. She also liked to take long walks around the neighborhood during the spring and summer to admire the gardening handiwork of others.Mary was blessed with 7 grandchildren; Nina Elliot (Alexandria, VA), Deanna McNeill (Vancouver, WA), John (Seattle), Aaron (Monroe), Kyle (Edmonds), Kendra (Edmonds), and Armin (Florida). Her grandchildren brought her so much joy, with a whole new second round of school activities and social events to cheer. Christmas at Grandma and Grandpas house was preceded by weeks of gleeful anticipation, and was always filled with great food, presents, laughter and love, creating memories to be savored for a lifetime. Her legacy continues with 6 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lorraine, brother Lambert and dear husband, John. She is going to be deeply missed by all who knew her but she left us with the gift of so many joyful memories we will always treasure.A memorial service to honor her life will be held at Becks Funeral Home in Edmonds, WA., at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2016.
