Mariano "Mario" Anguiano, Jr.
March 2nd, 1937 - January 4th, 2022
Mariano "Mario" Anguiano, Jr. entered into eternal life on Janaury 4, 2022. Mario was born March 2, 1937 in Brownsville, Texas to Mariano Anguiano, Sr. and Dolores Anguiano. He attended Brownsville High School. Mario enlisted in the US Army in October, 1954 and served 2 years. He then enlisted into the US Air Force in October 1955 and served until his retirement in 1975. Mario was an aircraft Mechanic in the US Air Force and made numerous overseas tours in southeast Asia to include Guam, Thailand, Vietnam, and Korea. His knowledge of aircraft earned him employment with Gates Learjet, and the US Military Aircraft Storage and Disposition Center. Mario was a devout Catholic, devoting many hours of volunteer work at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. Everyone that came in contact with Mario would eventually become a friend for life. Mario was always ready to lend a helping hand to any person in need. He was preceed in death his wife of 56 years Consuelo "Connie" Anguiano and his son David G. Anguiano. Mario is survived by his son Mariano III and many nieces and nephews from Texas, Tucson and Indiana. Visitation will be from 5:oo PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM on Tuesday January 11, 2022 at Bring's Broadway Chapel 6910 East Broadway Boulevard, Tucson. Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 AM On Wednesday Janaury 12, 2022 at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church 1800 South Kolb Road, Tucson. Burial will immediately follow in Our Lady of The Desert Cemetery 2151 S. Avenida Los Reyes, Tucson, with full military honors by the Davis Monthan Base Honor Guard.
