Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care - Melbourne
Mariano Santos Aquino
May 13th, 1952 - August 19th, 2020
Peacefully and surrounded by his Family, Mariano Santos Aquino went home to be with The Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday August 19, 2020 at the age of 68 years. He will always be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Sathaporn Aquino, his 3 children MaryAnn (Boyd) Campbell, Mario (Sabrina) Aquino, and Noel Aquino, his 7 grandchildren, Alayna, Teja, Karalee, Paladin, & Evah Campbell, and Gavin & Aiden Aquino, his brothers Frank (Linda) Aquino, James (Kanokrat) Aquino, his sisters Francis (Danny) Blas, Linda (John) Mesa, Marie Reyes, Esther (Ben) Baubata, as well as numerous relatives & friends. He will also be dearly missed by his friends and colleagues through his 25 years as Chief Air Traffic Controller serving the United States Air Force, and by his superiors, staff, and friends at The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) in Washington, DC. He is preceded in death by his parents Mars and Martha Aquino, and brothers Robert Aquino and Rudy Aquino. "Pop" faithfully served his God, his Family, and his country. He was a quiet man with a listening ear, yet two sides always came through: His quick-witted humor, and his purposefully chosen and spoken words. He was more than just a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was a volunteer, a hunter, a craftsman, a master chef, an exemplary leader, and a true jack-of-all-trades. His leadership style was characterized with caring, empathetic humility, fearlessness, confidence, and a level-headed approach to conflict resolution. Most important of all: He was intentional with his love toward his Family, and reflected Jesus Christ to all those around him. The viewing and service will be held at Beach Funeral Home, 4999 N. Wickham Rd. Melbourne, FL 32940, with the viewing beginning at 9AM - 11AM, with service beginning at 11AM. Livestream for the public, or in the event of reaching funeral home maximum capacity of 50 people, will be available on https://beachfuneralhome.com/. For safety reasons, the family asks that everyone follow COVID-19 guidelines such as social distancing and the use of facemasks. Flowers, cards, gifts, donations, etc., can be sent or dropped off to the family at the above funeral home address. A Celebration of Life Fiesta will also be held Saturday September 12th, 2020 (time to be determined).
