Marie D Elmer

Marie D. Elmer of Cedar Hills, UT passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the age of 94. She was born in Payson, UT on September 20, 1920 to the late Theresa Marie (Thustrup) and Henry Drissell. In 1940, she married her husband of 50 years, Charles W. Elmer. She was a line inspector for 10 years at Pacific Plantronics in Santa Cruz, CA, where she built headsets for astronauts. Marie was a wonderful friend and enjoyed driving her friends to church and bringing them meals. She was selfless, loved to garden, an avid golfer, and her favorite dessert to make was bread pudding. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Marie is survived by her children, Karen (John) Harr, Laurie (Dan) Archuleta, and Craig (Julie) Elmer; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her loving husband, Charles W. Elmer in 1990. Friends are invited to attend a visitation from 9:00 - 11:00 A.M., with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M., on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Jackson Ward in Sutter Creek, CA.
