Marie Jinnosian
March 2nd, 1920 - August 26th, 2015
Marie Antoinette Jinnosian was born March 2, 1920 in Greece. She went to Beirut Lebanon as an orphan, living there most of her life. Marie Antoinette was a very brave and strong woman. She was very generous and had a heart of gold. A pleaser, she was always available to help the sick and the elderly, whether it be her grandchildren or others in her life. Marie Antoinette was very reliable, smart and hard working. She was extremely neat and clean. Until her last day, she insisted her kitchen be kept clean. Marie Antoinette was a good mother, always wanting the best for her children. She paid for the best private schools, clothing etc. She loved gardening. Whenever someone came to her home, she asked them to pick vegetables from her garden to take with them. She loved to crochet, and did booties for children and the elderly and donated to the church. She enjoyed cooking and was a talented chef. Marie Antoinette worked at the United States Embassy in Beirut. After moving to the United States in 1980, and knowing very little English, she made friends through her cooking, even working as a chef for many celebrities. Marie Antoinette was very outgoing and loved people. She was always busy and on the move. Church was very important to Marie Antoinette, and attended every Sunday. Marie Antoinette is survived by her daughters Helene Spier and Theresa Tordjman; grandchildren Tania (Laurent) Carron, Oliver Spier, Gregory (Donna) Tordjman; and great grandchildren Christopher and Steven Carron and Yvette Tordjman. She is predeceased by her husband of 46 years Krikor Jinnosian. A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at St. Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89117, followed by burial at Davis Memorial Park, 6200 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
