Marilyn Ann Dickson
February 9th, 1934 - August 11th, 2013
Marilyn Ann Dickson, 79, of Seminole, FL, passed away peacefully, August 11th, 2013 at the Largo Medical Center. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 9th, 1934 to John and Edwina Merk. Marilyn is survived by Bill, her loving husband of 60 years; daughter, Lynne Dickson; son, Bill Dickson Jr. and his wife Jeanette; granddaughters, Kelly Byrne, Courtney Dixon and her husband Sean; grandson Billy Dickson III and his wife Amanda; sister, Jean; and multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Jack and Denise, and her son Douglas. Except for the two years her husband was stationed in Huntsville, AL, Marilyn lived the first half of her life in Philadelphia, PA, where she graduated from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School. In 1978 she moved with her family to Seminole, FL. Although Marilyn had a number of jobs outside of the house over the course of her life, her main occupation was as a loving and supporting wife and mother. She really enjoyed attending the various events in which her children and grandchildren were participating. Marilyn also liked going to the movies, attending the theater, and cruising the seas. A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, August 17th, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church, 10895 Hamlin Blvd, Largo, FL, 33774. Immediately following the service, there will be a gathering with friends and family at the clubhouse of the Timberwoods Condominiums, 9555 86th Ave, Seminole, FL, 33777. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Suncoast Hospice (www.thehospice.org, 727-467-7423).
