Mrs. Marilyn Elaine Fisher, age 77, of Gloversville, passed away on Friday March 5, 2021 at The St. Peter’s Hospital Hospice Inn, Albany. She was born October 18, 1943 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late George and Blanche Smith. Marilyn was employed for over 40 years as a Bookkeeper for the former Boyd-Harman Finance Co. of Gloversville. She was a fan of The NY Giant and enjoyed golf and skiing. Marilyn is survived by her husband Robert Fisher; their children, Dr. Daniel Fisher, Eric Stern and Sue (Dr. William) Beneke; a grandson, Garrison Fisher, along with several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to both of her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Priscilla. A graveside service will take place in the spring at Union Rural Cemetery, Mayfield. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the James A. Brennan Humane Society, 437 9 Mile Tree Rd, Gloversville, NY 12078, Mountain Valley Hospice 108 Steele Ave. Gloversville, NY 12078 or a charity of your choice in Marilyn’s name. Arrangements are entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
