Marilyn E. Jedrey, 85, of Seminole, lost her battle with leukemia on 26 November. She was born and raised in Long Island, NY. Marilyn graduated from Adelphi University in 1951 and was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority. She soon married her husband of 60 years, Ed Jedrey. Marilyn was a dedicated wife, mother and volunteer. Until recently she worked at Bay Pines VA Hospital as the American Legion Auxiliary Department Representative which included supervising other volunteers and the Poppy Program. Marilyn held many offices at American Legion Auxiliary Unit 273 including president, and membership chairwoman. Also very involved on the state level, she was a past President. Marilyn was a member of The 8 et 40 Salon 316 and held several positions there. In retirement she enjoyed traveling the world with her husband and family. She is predeceased by her husband Ed and survived by her daughters Patti Jedrey, Nancy (John) Eberhart and Debi Tribit as well as her granddaughters Alison Eberhart and Caitlin Tribit. Services will be held at Reese Funeral Home, 6767 Seminole Blvd. on Thursday December 4th at 4pm followed by a reception there. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday December 5th at Blessed Sacrament Church in Seminole at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, you may send donations to The Fisher House at 111 Rockville Pike, Suite 420, Rockville, MD 20850-5168.
