It is with great sorrow that the family of Marilyn Louise Marshall announce that she passed away on January 6th, 2024 at the age of 88. We are sad, but we rejoice in the knowledge that when she closed her eyes and took her last breath here on earth, she fell into the arms of the Lord that she loved and worshiped all her life. She was a wonderful, Godly woman, and we could not have asked for a better mother, because there was none better. She was always there for us. No matter what, she was there. She had many friends that loved her as well, and we take great solace in knowing just how many lives our mother touched as well as led to the Lord and their salvation. Marilyn was a Medical Language Specialist and she loved doing that. Boy, you should have seen her type away. She was fast. So fast you could just about see smoke coming off the keyboard. Marilyn was co-owner of M & M Medical Transcription Service in Michigan with her late sister Margaret (Juanita) York, and after several years, Marilyn took one part of the Detroit/Metropolitan area hospitals and doctor offices, while Margaret took the other. They were good together. Their business thrived. Our mom was so very proud of her three children, and we believe, even more proud of her seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. What a beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Our mom was intelligent, loving, independent, humorous, but most importantly, a Godly woman. We loved joking with her, and her with us. On her oldest granddaughters wedding day, she told Grandma how beautiful she looked to which Marilyn replied, “Thank you, and do you know why I look so beautiful? It’s because I have my bathing suit on under this dress. I couldn’t find my Spanx.” She really did, too. She was predeceased by her husband, soulmate, and love of her life, Edward H. Marshall. He was her Eddie, and she was his Bill. She missed him terribly these last eight years. Also predeceased by her parents, Daniel P Emberton and Margaret Belle (Duncan) Emberton. She was the last remaining member of her family of one sister Margaret (Emberton) York, and four brothers Daniel, Ben, Don, and Gene Emberton. We can’t help but think of what a great reunion happened in Heaven on January 6th, 2024. She was finally with the Lord, and all of those that went on before her. She leaves behind Debra Marshall Lyon (Rob), Darlene Marshall Euhus (Richard), Michael Marshall (Tiffany) as well as grandchildren, James Lyon, Joseph Lyon, Jonathan Lyon, Ryan Euhus (Angie), Christina Marshall Creach (Nick), Jeremy Marshall (Brittany), and Erin Marshall. Plus, the great grandchildren, Zoie, Scarlett, and Max, Isaiah and Zahara, Killian and Molly, Bella and Brock. There will be no viewing or funeral service. Our family will gather on January 15th, 2024 at her place of internment, Myrtle Hill Memorial Park 4202 East Lake Ave Tampa Florida 33610 to witness her going into the vault with our dad, and then we will gather for a celebration of her life sometime afterwards. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital as she was just getting ready to make a donation to them, or to Moffitt Cancer Center Tampa. Mom was a member of Agape Baptist Church in Zephyrhills Fl so keep them in mind, too. Our deepest gratitude to all of you that loved and blessed her with your friendship.
