Marilyn Harrington O'Connor
April 12th, 1935 - May 23rd, 2012
Marilyn Harrington O'Connor, a 46 year resident of Walnut Creek, passed away May 23rd at home surrounded by her family after a diagnosis of cancer. Marilyn was born in 1935 in Weaverville, California to Joseph and Winnie Harrington. She attended Shasta Junior College and Dominican College of San Rafael. In 1958 she married Chuck O'Connor and had 6 children. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. Marilyn loved reading and was an avid birder. She traveled the world birding as well as for pleasure with her husband. Marilyn and Chuck were founding members of St. John Vianney Church in Walnut Creek. She is survived by her husband Chuck O'Connor, her brother Burt Harrington, her children Clare (Andy) Pease, Lynn (Lyn) Barnett, Brian (Lisa) O'Connor, Steve (Elena) O'Connor, Gavin O'Connor and 16 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin O'Connor. Private Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, May 31 at 1:30 pm at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette Private Services
