MARILYN DEE PEA

November 25th, 1948 - August 20th, 2024

Marilyn Dee (Mitchell) Pea, age 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Senior Haven residential care facility in Portland, Oregon. She was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1948, in Portland, to Gordon and Dorothy (LePoidevin) Mitchell. Marilyn was a 1966 graduate of Benjamin Frankin High School. She married Walter Pea on October 2, 1973, and two years later their son, Jason Walter was born.

Marilyn worked as a merchandiser at Nabisco for many years and was well liked and respected by her coworkers and superiors. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like gardening and caring for her beautiful yard, bowling with her sister, mom and grandmother in a family bowling league, and chopping wood for the indoor wood stove in her home. One of her favorite pastimes was watching Portland Trail Blazers games with her husband Walter.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Walter; son Jason (Tina) Pea; twin grandchildren Kaden and Kinsey; stepson Paul Pea; brothers Gordon (Mary) Mitchell; Alan (Jennifer); sisters Ann and Susie; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Marilyn is predeceased by her mother, father and older brother Phillip Mitchell.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Bumpers Grill and Bar, 21935 NE Halsey St., Fairview, OR on Sunday, September 15th, at 2:00pm.
