Marilyn Marie Salzman
November 13th, 1964 - August 16th, 2024
Marilyn was born in Greeley, Colorado to John & Mattie (Bohannon) Thompson on November 13, 1964. She grew up loving to help others. As a teen, Marilyn loved her volunteer job as a candy striper at Bonnell. At the young age of 15 she meet the love of her life Chris and they were married on August 20 1983. She would go to study and work in early childhood development. Over the next 10 years Chris and Marilyn would go on to have 3 beautiful children Christy, Jacob, and Kaity. Marilyn loved to cook, bake, work in her garden but most of all she cherished spending time with her family and 9 beautiful grandchildren. They shared many adventures over the years. She loved animals and always had a dog by her side.
Marilyn was a real Lover and fighter holding on to her strong convictions of her Christian faith and beliefs. She treasured spending time on crafts, painting, and seeing the enjoyment in the eyes of her grandchildren! On Friday August 16th Marilyn Salzman passed away unexpectedly in Greeley CO.
Marilyn is survived by her; beautiful children, Christy and her Husband Monty Ambriz, Jacob, Kaity and her wife Kas Reeves; grandchildren, Zoe, Joshua, Mattie, Christopher, Davina, Dylis, Elias, Madilynn and Silas; siblings Byron, Julie, Ross, and Roy, and a large loving extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chris Salzman and mother and father John & Mattie Thompson
A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday August 27th, 2024, at First Congregation Church, 2101 16th St, Greeley, CO 80631. After services reception to follow at Christ Community Church 1301 15th St Greeley CO 80631. In memory of Marilyn, we will be wearing Purple attire in her honor.
