Marilyn Ruth Shipley
January 21st, 1937 - March 23rd, 2016
79, passed away on March 23, 2016. She was born January 21, 1937 in Bloomington, IN, daughter of Alberta (Long) Stoute Murphy and John H. Stoute. She was a 1954 graduate of Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, Indiana and attending Central Business College. She worked as Executive Assistant for the former Rotz Engineers, Inc. in Speedway, IN for 21 years and was their representative in Executive Women International during that time. After moving to Florida; she worked part-time for Diagnostic Clinic in Largo, FL for 10 years. She moved to Largo, FL in 2002 and loved living in Florida, which she always referred to as "living in paradise." She is survived by her two sons, William E. Shipley (Wendy) of Slidell, LA; Brian R. Shipley (Verona) of Silver Springs, FL; daughter, Sherry Walsh of Largo, FL; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, as well as, may nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, John W. Stoute, and sister, Virginia Stoute Hartman. Those wishing to do so, make a donation in Marilyn's memory to Manna Mission, Attn: Pastor Tom Tackett, 65 West Morgan St., Martinville, IN 46151. A Celebration of Life and burial in the family plot will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, IN at a later date.
