MARILYNN B. NIEBLER, 92, of Jefferson passed away on Thursday July 21, 2016 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient center in Johnson Creek. Marilynn Barbara Sayre was born on March 27, 1924 to William and Cecilia (Foelker) Sayre. She was one of six children. She married Wilbur Niebler on May 20, 1944 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, he preceded her in death on June 12, 2001. Together they raised 7 children in Jefferson. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parishes. Marilynn had a fabulous sense of humor and endless compassion for others. She enjoyed sports, writing, playing cards and baking, but, was happiest when surrounded by her family. She also cherished her weekly phone calls with dear friends, Jane Soper, Rosie Lenz, Margaret (Sugar/Margi) Kemmeter, Betty Schopen and her visits from Sister Mary Anne Schroedl. She will be deeply missed by her family; Daughters Jacqueline Smith of Jefferson, Susan (James) Polk of Helenville, Barbara Wegner of Jefferson, Theresa (Joseph) Littel of Madison, Jane Johnson of Naples FL, Sons: Robert (Jan) Niebler of Lake Mills, James (Rose) Niebler of Oregon, WI. 14 grandchildren Leigh (Matthew) Emrick, Jule (Erin Koskovich) Smith, Jeff (Kristen) Niebler, Sarah (John) Theodore, Lara Polk, Angela (Tony) Gorn, Nicole (Zeb) Scherer, Lindsey (Corey) Pierce, Jennifer (Glenn Lund) Wegner, Joe (Kerry) Littel, Lisa (Tomasz Jaroszczyk) Littel, Ben Johnson, Jason Niebler and Jeremy Niebler. 8 great grandchildren. Sister in law Gladys Sayre, many nieces and nephews and great nieces, and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers George (Muriel) Sayre, Dean (Genevieve) Sayre, Neil Sayre. Sisters Lorraine (Russell) Devitt, Myrtle (Francis) Quinn, sons in law, Julius Smith, and Donald Johnson, sister in law Helen (Gilbert Messman) Niebler. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday July 29, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Visitation will be at the Church on Friday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 1:00 p.m. Marilynn will be entombed at the Resurrection Cemetery in Madison. Those wishing to give a memorial in Marilynn's name may direct them to St. Francis of Assisi Parishes, or to a Charity of donor's choice.
