Mario A. Martinez, 60, of Alameda, passed away on January 14, 2018 at his home in Dublin, CA. He was born on July 6, 1957 in Salinas, CA. Mario was known for his U.S. Olympic weight-lifting achievements and was a three time medalist. (www.teenusa.org) Mario is survived by, his wife, Katy Martinez daughters, Annette and Alexandra Martinez mother, Abigail Martinez sisters, Anna Martinez Perez and Raquel Martinez brothers, Paul, Raul, Martin and David Martinez along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving family and friends.

He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area.
