Marion Helen Atchison

Marion Helen Atchison, 92, born in Greensboro, NC, on Dec. 9, 1921, went home to be with her Lord on Wed. January 29, 2014. She was residing at Taylor Care Center in Jacksonville, Florida. The funeral service will be Saturday February 1, 2014 at 2PM, at the Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home with interment following at Guildford Memorial Park. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Ray Anderson and the late Myrtle Pike Anderson. For many years she was in retail sales with Ivy's and Dillard's in Greensboro and was a member of Friendly Avenue Baptist Church. She was loved by many who were blessed by her sweet spirit and contagious enthusiasm and joy for life. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Atchison, her brother, Bill Anderson, her sons, David Ray Atchison and Steve Wayne Atchison and granddaughter, Tami Atchison. She is survived by a sister, Mary Jane Jones, her son, Richard Lee Atchison and her grandchildren, Todd Atchison, Billy Atchison and Karen Shelton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
