Marion Janette Kelpin Cochran
September 8th, 1924 - March 8th, 2017
Marion Janette Cochran, 92, of Payette passed away on March 8, 2017 at a Payette care center. Marion was born in Clawson, Michigan on September 8, 1924 to Paul and Elsie Kelpin. The family moved to Grass Valley, California and then to Payette, Idaho where she graduated from Payette High School in 1943. Marion married John Pogmore of Payette in 1945. John was lost in an auto accident in 1952. Marion married Kenneth Cochran of Boise in 1956 and they adopted two children; Keith and Karen. Marion and Kenneth were later divorced. Marion lived in Boise for over 60 years. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Arthur Kelpin and Russell Kelpin. Marion is survived by two sisters, Lucille Bischoff of New Plymouth and Erma Ledington of Payette. Funeral services will be held at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Ontario, Oregon on Thursday, March 16th at 11:00 am. Committal services will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Payette at 3:00 pm. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel from 3:30-5:30 pm on Wednesday, March 15th in Payette. Memorial donations can be made to Pilgrim Lutheran Church, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, Idaho 83661.
