Marion Majeski
May 6th, 1921 - January 11th, 2013
Marion Helen Allen Majeski, 91, of Rotonda West, FL died peacefully on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Palmer Ranch Healthcare & Rehabilitation, Born on May 6, 1921 in Birmingham, MI to Eugene and Helen (Monroe) Allen. Her first husband, Thomas Eugene White preceded her in death in 1964. Marion and her second husband Anthony Majeski moved to Rotonda West in 1971 from St. Clair Shores, MI. Tony preceded her in death in 1996. Marion treasured her family, golf and spaghetti night at the Legion. She loved popcorn and Vernor's ginger ale and that people often told her how amazing she looked for her age, which she did. She had a great style, but she couldn't cook too well. She was funny and goofy, and could hit an iron off an Oakland Hills fairway straight and just long enough. Her rendition of the song, "Huggin and Chalkin" & "Ragtime Cowboy Joe", made three generations of kids smile. Survivors include her sons: Thomas (Susan) White of The Woodlands, TX and David White of Nokomis, FL; her stepdaughter: Judy (Tom) Edwards of Mountain Lakes, NJ; 11 grandchildren: David (Bobbie Jo) Clothier of St. Petersburg, FL; Mark (Amanda) Clothier of Plymouth, MI; Amy Clothier of Rotonda West, FL; Tommy (Cinder) White of New York, NY; Chuck White of Houston, TX; Katie White of Houston, TX; Dr. James Healy of New Haven, CT; Laura Healy of Mountain Lakes, NJ; Renee (Michael) Kinnick of Olympia, WA; Georgia Healy of Chicago, IL; Michael Herndon of Nokomis, FL and eight great grandchildren: Jack, Ethan, Abigail, Kaley, Thomaqs, Emma, Cole and Nile. Her beloved daughter Marcy Demaree preceded her in death in 2009. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church (where Marion was a member) 551 Rotonda West Blvd. Rotonda West, FL 33947. Pastor Lavern Franzen and Pastor Carl Kaltreider will officiate. Interment will be in Birmingham, MI at a later date.
