Marion L Nielsen

Marion Louise Nielsen entered into her heavenly rest on July 6, 2015 in Sacramento, CA at the age of 81. Marion was born on February 17, 1934 in Long Beach, CA to her parents, John and Marion Graham. After obtaining her nursing degree at Huntington Memorial Hospital, Marion married her beloved husband, Howard Nielsen, on November 9, 1956. They started their married life in Southern California and eventually settled in San Jose, CA where they raised 3 children. Throughout their marriage, they remained committed to each other, family, church, and community. Marion was tragically predeceased by their daughter, Cheryl, in 1991. Shortly thereafter, she was widowed by her husband, Howard, in 1992. Marion continued to pursue her relationship with The Lord, and ministered to others wholeheartedly by serving as a deaconess, leading bible studies, and mentoring many. Marion enjoyed spending precious time with her two granddaughters, sewing, gardening, baking, cooking, watching sports, and playing card games. Marion was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed. She is survived by her brother Jack Graham, sister Marjorie Trout, sons Daniel Nielsen and Jon Nielsen, daughter in law Jill Nielsen, granddaughters Kayla Richards and Kirsten Nielsen. A memorial service celebrating Marion Nielsen's life will be held at Horizon Community Church on July 19, 2015 at 3:00pm.
