Marion P. Shorb of Sun City Center, FL passed away on September 10, 2020 6 days short of his 99th Birthday. Sun City Center Funeral Home1851 Rickenbacker Dr., SCC 813-634-9900 is in charge of arrangements. Marion was born September 16, 1921 in Washington DC to Paschal A. and Sarah Ann Shorb. He is also predeceased by his loving wife Marjorie of 63 years and his brothers Rudolph Shorb and Ronald Shorb. He is survived by his children Frederick (Deborah) of Sun City Center, FL, Gloria (Lorne) Connelly of Naples, FL and Grandaughter Bethany Shorb and her husband Kip Ewing of Detroit, MI. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Fargo during WWII and thereafter worked for Dictaphone Corp for 45 years retiring as a Senior Project Engineer. Friends may call at the Sun City Center Funeral Home on Wednesday September 16 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am followed by 10:00 Mass at St. Anne Catholic Church in Ruskin. Burial will be at 1:00 pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell FL with full Military honors . Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Charity of your choice.
