Marjorie Jean Banks, age 87, of Yuba City, CA, passed away August 8, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. Born October 17, 1930 in Riley, Kansas to Hattie and John Pollman, she attended schools in Milford, Kansas. On April 24, 1949 she married W.T. Banks in Milford, Kansas. They moved to the Yuba-Sutter area in 1951 and spent 67 years in Marysville and Yuba City. She was a surgical nurse at Yuba County Hospital for 32 years. After retiring from Yuba County she worked at the Yuba County clinic for 10 years and was a Red Cross volunteer working over 20 National disasters. She was one of the original founding members of the Histurn-Yani camping club. She loved being a nurse, playing golf and traveling in her motor home. She was preceded in death by her husband W.T. Banks; mother Hattie Lynch; stepfather Fay Lynch; brother John A Pollman; sister-in-law Maebelle Pollman; brother-in-law J.D Banks; sister-in-law Norma Banks and nephew Harvey Banks. She is survived by brother Larry Lynch (Jolanda) of Hartsville, SC and nephews Chris Pollman (Loretta) of Weatherford, OK, Patrick Pollman (Trich) of Oklahoma City, OK, Scott Pollman (Ann) of Perry, OK, Timothy Lynch (Lara) of Kanas City, MO, Clinton Lynch (Tara) of Ermo, SC, Dennis Banks (Tersa) of Sweetwater, OK and Loy Banks of Eric, OK and nieces Shelly Christenson (Courtney) of Westmoreland, KS, Shawn Morrison (Gary) of Hartsville, SC, Donna Stafford of Midwest City, OK, Lesa Reed (Paul) of Eric, OK, Linda Banks of Sweetwater, OK and Tonya Morrow (Lance) of Skiatook, OK. And caregivers and best friends Sue Kittell of Yuba City and Darlyne Borkaw Yuba City. She will be interred in Okeen, OK, beside her husband W.T Banks. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Humane Society of Yuba-Sutter or the Wounded Warrors Project. Memorial Mass will be held Monday, August 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Isidore Catholic Church, Yuba City. A celebration of Marge's life will be held at Marcello's Italian Restaurant, 1235 Bridge St., Yuba City after the Memorial Mass and is open to all who knew her. In the spirit of how she lived her life the family asks that you bring your stories of Marge to share.
