Marjorie Georgette Graves
December 1st, 1924 - June 9th, 2014
Marjorie (Georgette) Graves passed away Monday, June 9, 2014, at Prestige Assisted Living in Marysville, CA, after a long illness, with her children by her side. Georgette was born December 1, 1924, to Richard and May Bell Hasche in Marysville, CA. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, step-father Herman Billerbeck, two sisters: Thais Brophy, Darlene Masera, and her beloved husband of 61 years, Leigh W. Graves. She is survived by one son, Richard L. Graves and his wife Laurie of Yuba City, CA; daughter, Darlene M. Pappageorge and her husband Chuck Pappageorge of Yuba City, CA; 4 grandchildren: Troy Brookins of Brooklyn, New York, Nicholas Pappageorge and his wife Marla of Yuba City, CA, Tiffani Pappageorge of Orange Co., CA, Hunter Graves of Gridley, CA; great grandchild Gavin Pappageorge of Yuba City, CA; brother-in-law Willard Brophy of Yuba City, CA; 4 nieces and 2 nephews. Georgette loved being a homemaker, doing her beautiful crocheting, and being very involved with her husband showing their two horses in the Working Cow Class which they won many ribbons, and Rusty the Grand Championship, winning twice. Georgette and Leigh traveled most of the United States with the exception of three states. For many years they also loved their camping trips and their cabin in Chester, CA. Richard and I would like to thank Prestige Assisted Living in Marysville, CA, for the loving care they gave our mother. We would also like to thank Hospice for their loving care. Georgette will be laid to rest at Sutter Cemetery, Saturday, June 28th at 11:00 am. A reception will follow at Ruthy's Bar & Oven, 229 Clark Ave. in the Hillcrest Plaza. In lieu of flowers, you may wish to donate to the Alzheimer's Foundation
