Marjorie Kempf, 91, Fort Atkinson, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Reena Senior Living, Fort Atkinson, WI. Marjorie was born on March 2, 1928 at her parent’s farm house in Fort Atkinson, WI to Lewis and Julia (Vasby) Behm. She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1945. She married Elmer “Pete” Schall on June 10, 1949. He preceded her in death a short time later. On February 3, 1956 Marjorie married Marlyn Kempf. Marjorie had a tremendous work ethic and worked at Thomas Industries and later at Hankscraft, a division of Gerber Food in Reedsburg, WI. Marjorie finished her work career at ShopKo in Fort Atkinson. She was a wonderful cook, always preparing delicious well balanced meals. She was a loving person who cared for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marjorie was a woman of prayer. She is survived by her children Donna (Roger) Lueder, Patricia Hall, Jean Erickson, Mary (Gerald) Larsen, Dennis (Jolene) Kempf, Kurtis (Donna) Kempf, Kristie Kempf; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother David (Mary) Behm; sister Maxine (Bill) Paxson; sister-in-law Iona Ratajczak. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Elmer Schall and Marlyn Kempf; grandson Lief Erickson; great-grandson Liam Teggatz. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 11:00am at Willerup Methodist Church, 414 W. Water St. Cambridge, WI 53523. Burial will follow at the Willerup Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Nitardy Funeral Home 1008 Madison Ave. Fort Atkinson, WI from 5:00-7:00pm and on Tuesday from 10:00am until the time of the service at Willerup Methodist Church in Cambridge. The family would like to thank the staff at Reena Senior Living, St. Croix Hospice and Transitions at Home for their outstanding and loving care of Marjorie.
