Marjorie Gail Peters of Jackson, CA, passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton, CA at the age of 70. She was born in Fresno, CA on September 7, 1941 to Edward and Vada (Deming) Bush. Marjorie's family moved to Campbell, CA in 1945 where she attended school and graduated from Campbell High School. She worked as a veterinary assistant and an assistant to the president of Bank of America in Los Angeles, CA. Marjorie met Ed Peters through friends and the two were married in 1968 in Santa Monica, CA. The couple moved to Jackson in 1970 when Ed received a job transfer with Safeway. Marjorie opened Jackson Antiques in 1975 and operated the business for 35 years. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly and her husband, Gareth Elliot of Pittsburgh, PA; son, John Peters and his wife, Vanessa Nichol of Tivoli, NY; brothers Harold Bush and his wife Glenda of Stockton; Gerald Bush and his wife Jan of Fernley, NV; brother James Bush and his wife Sue of Tampa, FL; and sister, Kathleen Crable and her husband, Douglas of Pollock Pines; grandchildren, Jamie Elizabeth Peters, Layla May Peters, Robert Edward Elliot, and John "Jack" Graham Elliot. She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Ed Peters. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service Saturday, May 26 at 2:00 P.M. at Daneri Mortuary Chapel in Jackson, CA. Interment will be in the Garden of Valor at Sunset View Cemetery in Jackson, and the family will hold a reception at the Amador County Senior Center thereafter. Margie's pride and joy was her four healthy grandchildren. She would want memorial contributions made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 for those less fortunate.
