Marjorie Marie Phipps, 69 of Cromwell died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 in St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. She was born May 10, 1943 in Cloquet to Arthur and Nina Peterson. Marjorie grew up in Cromwell and graduated from Cromwell High School. On Sept. 25, 1964 she married Jesse Phipps. Marjorie was a proud mother of four children and seven grandchildren. She loved attending their sporting events and other activities. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by and will be sadly missed by her husband, Jesse; three sons, Mark (Sarah) Phipps and Jesse both of Cromwell, and Michael; daughter, Janet (Michael) Sworski of Cromwell; brother, John (Sandy) Peterson of Cromwell; sisters, Joyce Peterson of Cloquet and Kathryn (Steve) Lane of California; seven grandchildren, Mariah and Steven Phipps, Katrina, Karissa, Cy-Joseph, Cedrek, and Cyril Sworski. Memorial Services were held on Friday, March 8, 2013 in the Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet.
