Dear Mr. Birnbaum and Family, I am so sorry for your loss! Mark was a good, smart colleague and business friend, and I am sad to have lost him so suddenly and already miss his phone calls. He was always trying to help my clients find funding and I appreciated his strength and straightforward communication. I was always glad to hear his voice (we never met in person) even when we had to discuss difficult business issues. So sorry to hear about Mark. I went to WWPHS with him and he was in many of my classes. Was recently thinking about him and his dry sense of humor!

I am so sad to hear of Mark's passing. I too went to high school with Mark. I remember him as being a really nice guy, a friend to all. Prayers for comfort to all of his friends and family. Mark, may you rest in perfect peace.

I just went looking for you, my friend, and I am shocked by the news. I'll always remember the Paul McCartney concert at the GWF- such a last minute, spur-of-the-moment decision. We had many late night, deep conversations, and some great after-work drinking sessions. You were always a very good person and touched a lot of hearts and souls. We'll see each other again.
