On January 21, 2016, Mark Thomas Britt, 60, of Tacoma, Washington, lost his battle with brain cancer. He passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. Mark was born on October 18, 1955 in Monticello, Utah. He grew up, and attended school, in and around Roswell, New Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Terry Henry-Britt; brothers Howard and Andy Britt; sister Debbie Britt; sons David Britt - wife Sandy, and Darren Britt; step-sons Doug Henry - wife Emily; and Derek Henry - wife Megan; his grandchildren, Nathan Henry, Brody, Cooper, Josephine Marie, Darren Jr., and Alix Britt. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and other close family and friends. In school he had a great love for football and his favorite team was the Kansas City Chiefs. He began his career in trucking in the early 1980's. Around this time he moved to Tacoma, WA, where he met his wife, Terry. Along with trucking, Mark loved being outside, watching Nathan play sports, and NASCAR. He loved life and people. He never met a stranger and would do anything for anyone. Mark was known for his gentle presence and his infectious laughter could light up any room. He will be missed immensely and will forever live in our hearts.
