Obituary for Mark W. Frenette Northampton- Mark W. Frenette, 70, passed away September 1, 2021 at Highview of Northampton with family by his side. He was born on January 6, 1951 in Syracuse, New York to the late Constance Ann (Johnson) Frenette. Mark grew up in South Hadley and graduated from South Hadley High School in 1969. He then began studying at Westfield State College, where he was the president of his Freshman class, and graduated in 1973. He was a quintessential entrepreneur, owning a variety of businesses in a number of states. In his later years, Mark became a Science and Biology teacher at Holyoke Junior High School. He was an avid sportsman who was immensely talented at playing soccer. He also enjoyed skiing, hiking, and playing the guitar. Mark loved traveling the world and spent many years visiting numerous countries and states. He had a love for animals, especially the litter of Golden Retrievers that he raised into adulthood. Besides his mother, Mark was preceded in death by his brothers, Andrew (1953) and Paul Frenette (1994). He will be dearly missed by his brother, Steven Frenette and wife, Nancy; brother, Michael Frenette and wife, Rae Ann; nieces, Amy (Frenette) Irwin and Mikala Frenette; nephew, Adam Frenette; as well as several great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held September 15, 2021 at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and will conclude with a Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m.
