Mark E W Mortenson

Mark E W Mortenson age 48, passed away on May 25, 2020, in Loveland, Colorado. He was born on December 17, 1971 to David Mortenson and Adrienne Landrum in Clintonville, WI. Mark was passionate about the outdoors and spent much of his time fishing, hunting, camping, shooting bow, and riding his Harley. He also enjoyed playing card games, cooking and perfecting steaks on the grill, and loved nothing more than spending time and telling stories with his family and close friends. He will be extremely missed by many, and will be remembered dearly at those special fishing spots, treasured family hikes, and favorite road trips.  For many years, Mark owned his own business where he built log homes and watched his visions become reality. He had the perfect eye for building other’s dreams and he was passionate about making it perfect for the homeowner.  Mark is survived by his wife Nikki Adams, his daughters Brianne Grosskopf (Joe) and Courtney Mortenson (Anthony Sanchez), his step children Kylee Hix and Austin Hix (Allyson), his grandchildren Elle, Eli, Damien, and Eowyn, his step grandchildren Allee, Jack, Jaylin, Jakob, and Jameson, his parents David and Goldine Mortenson, his grandmother Esther Wilhelm, his siblings Melissa Platt (Mike), Paul Mortenson, Daniel Mortenson (Shana), and Heather Johnson (Dean), his nieces and nephews Payge, Tyler, David, Justin, Lauren, Dale, Evan, and Hailey, and many other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Maurita Pezewski and Virginia Smith and grandfathers Lee Wilhelm and Edgar Smith. There will not be a viewing or funeral service. When the family decides an appropriate time for a life celebration they will inform relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers or gifts, individuals wishing to support during this time are asked to make a donation to the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in honor of Mark Mortenson.  Services at a later date See Obituary for Details
