Mark Christian Richardson

Mark Christian Richardson (64) Arvada, CO unexpectedly passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Mark was born and raised in Michigan, where he developed his love of water skiing. He visited Colorado many times as a child, where he developed his love of snow skiing. He enjoyed thrill rides and sports cars. Mark moved to Colorado as a young man and remained there the rest of his life. He spent more than twenty years driving long-haul truck routes. He returned to school to study Urban Planning and was an excellent student in the graduate program. He cared deeply about sustainability and climate change, and about social and structural issues that affected those less fortunate than himself. But what he wanted most was a family. In August of 2011 his life changed for the best when he met Marie, who would become his wife in 2015. Marie†™s belief in him and love for him helped him finally be the person he wanted to be. And he got the big family he always wanted. In early September 2011 Mark met Marie†™s children. They were the ones to make the decision if Marie could continue seeing Mark. After a steak dinner at Outback they unanimously agreed he was a very good match for their mom. Mark and Marie enjoyed their free time together traveling and enjoying the ocean either beachside in Mexico or exploring new places on a cruise. Preceded in death by his father Robert Richardson and step father Bart Van Eck. He is survived by his wife Marie Richardson, mother Jamae Wolfram Van Eck, sisters Karen Lepper and Robin Richardson, step children Christopher, Drew and Sarah Snyder as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends0 .He is loved and missed by Aspen, Daisy and Toby his beloved pups.
