Mark Edward Richardson, 87, of Yuba City, CA, passed away on September 4, 2024. He was born on August 6, 1937, in Soper, OK, to James Willis and Myrtle Mable (DeWolfe) Richardson.

Mark spent 21 years in the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force, he was identified as being very adept at training and went on to have a very successful career in training, receiving several accolades and eventually retiring as a Master Sargent.

Following his time in the Air Force, he went on to have a second career in civil service working at Beale AFB in the Civil Engineering Squadron as a painter.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, and following the SF Giants. He was also a fond storyteller and could easily captivate the attention of his grandchildren and ultimately entertain us all.

Of all his hobbies, the most loved was golf. He found tremendous joy on the golf course. When he wasn't playing golf, he was often talking about golf with a tremendous passion. He played such courses as St. Andrews and Pebble Beach and even had a hole-in-one at a local course.

Mark is survived by sons, Troy Richardson and Mark "Chris" Richardson; daughter, Katherine Chibree; their spouses; six grandchildren; brother, Chris Richardson; and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, of 53 years, Shirley (Siller) Richardson; sister, Irene Richardson; and brother, James W. Richardson.

A graveside memorial service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Sutter Cemetery, in Sutter, CA. Ullrey Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
