Mark S. Wilkerson

Mark S. Wilkerson, 60, passed away peacefully with his loving wife and her cousin by his side in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Monday, August 27th, 2018, of GBM brain cancer. He was born in Santa Fe to the late Vincent and Katherine Wilkerson. He was a graduate of McCurdy High School in Espanola, New Mexico. Mark served honorably in the United States Navy. He married his soulmate Twila Chockley Wilkerson on Augusts 29th, 2009. Mark was employed as a warehouse supervisor at Dahl Plumbing Supply in Santa Fe. He was preceded in death by his by his brothers Steve Wilkerson and Chuck Wilkerson. He is survived by wife Twila Chockley Wilkerson, his children David (Krystle) Wilkerson of Latham, New York, Amanda (Michael) Wahl of St. Petersburg, Florida, granddaughters, Tessa and Kennady, sister Jan (Jon) Barton of Marietta, Georgia. He is further survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends who he loved very much. He is also survived by his beloved four-legged fur babies, Bosco and Bo Jangles and bird, Sunny. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mark loved spending time with family and friends. He was passionate about playing golf, planting beautiful flower beds and hanging baskets, and the Denver Broncos. Mark was blessed with a beautiful voice, he loved music and singing along. He had a great love for all animals and had a special place in his heart for any abused or neglected animal. Dahl Plumbing, the company with which Mark and Twila have been employed many years, has been incredibly generous and supportive throughout Mark's illness. The family sends a heartfelt thank you to family members, friends, co-workers, Nora and Maria from The OIivas Sisters and Marvin from Coming Home Connection for their loving care and friendship throughout this difficult time. A special thank you to Rebecca Sandoval for her compassion, thoughtfulness, and words of inspiration. A Celebration of Life will be at the Fraternal Order of Police, 522 Airport Road., Unit A, Santa Fe, NM on Monday, October 1st, 1:00PM-5:00PM. Food and spirits will be available. Burial will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 2nd, 9:00AM.
