Mark Wolfe

Hiltons, VA - Ivan Mark Wolfe, (affectionately known as Possum, Fred and Wolfie), 51 of Hiltons, VA, went to be with the Lord, unexpectedly, on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Kingsport, he had lived in Scott County all of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. Mark was a man of few words, but his actions spoke louder. His last words were, "I love you Angie and I love my girls". He was a graduate of Gate City High School and employed at Scott County Park. He was a member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Milan and Gladys "GG" Millard and paternal grandparents, John and Dania Wolfe. Mark is survived by his loving wife, Angie Bowen Wolfe; daughters, Cortney Wolfe and Katie Wolfe; parents, John and Flo Wolfe; sisters, Dewanna Cross and husband Bruce, Yolanda Burke and husband David and Dania Strong and husband Stacy; nieces, Madison and AJ Cross, Shyanna Strong; nephew, Jacob Strong; special aunt, Myrtle Wolfe. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City. Friends may also call anytime at the residence of Mark's parents. A funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Vickie Carter and Rev. Randy Powers officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wolfe-Jett Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be John Wolfe and Jerry Bowen. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:55 p.m. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City is serving the Wolfe family.
