Maro "Marty" Lupe Martinez

Maro L. Martinez (Marty), 81 of Commerce City, Colorado passed into eternal life on October 26, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Isabell Rodriguez, two children, Leticia Martinez and Vince Martinez and his wife Cindy, two granddaughters Rashelle and Damonique, 2 great grandchildren Jayanti and Darrius, and seven siblings. Marty was a United States Navy veteran, serving from 1956 to 1959. He later retired from the U.S. Postal Service, after 20 years as a mail carrier in Commerce City. Marty was also an active member of the local American Legion Post 151, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4444, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3461. Marty passed at home, peacefully, surrounded by family after a short, but courageous struggle with lung cancer.
