Marsha G. Davis, age 59, owner of Country Homes Real Estate, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, February 22, 2007. She had struggled for a year and a half with complications from multiple injuries due to a car accident she had been in on September 27, 2005. She was born August 22, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her parents were Jack Smith and Ruth Smith/Erickson. Marsha Davis led a life of interesting struggles with a positive attitude and an open outlook for a sunnier tomorrow. The last years of Marsha's life after meeting and marrying Gil Davis were the happiest times for her with fewer struggles and more love than any could ever hope for. Marsha loved her dogs because they were predictable and had unconditional love for her, as she had for all her family and loved ones as well as much of the community. If there ever was a purpose to be filled in life, Marsha did by serving her community with utmost character and integrity; she truly loved to help people. If there is any one thing that can be gained by all from Marsha Davis, it would be that she was a great Listener because she really did care and it made her feel happy to help where she could. Marsha is survived by her husband, Gil; her son and his wife, Michael and Tracy Sorensen of Anchorage, Alaska; her daughter and her husband, Rebecca and Don Deters of Maple Grove, Minnesota; two step-children, Sheila Davis of Illinois and Patrick Foster of Virginia; three grandchildren, Justin Burdick, Graysen Sorensen, and Kamden Sorensen, two sisters, Kathy Bressler and Amy Erickson of Minnesota, and one brother, Rick Erickson of Oklahoma, She is further survived by her recently adopted son, Brady Nash, and many, many wonderful friends. Memorial services for Marsha G. Davis will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 28th, at the Hofbrau Restaurant at 2100 Fifth Ave. in Oroville. In lieu of flowers, memorial funds have been established in her name for the Housing Affordability Fund of CAR (See the Oroville Association of Realtors for further details).
