Marsha Dewar

We regretfully announce the passing of Marsha “Marti” Dewar of St Petersburg on April 19, 2024. Marti was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully. Marti was happily married for 31 years to, Mickey, who preceded her in death. Marsha devoted her life to others, her children Hannah Dewar Gross (Paul), Nadia Dewar Almodovar (Jason), Christine Devico (Lee) and most recently her dog Tucker. Her starring role however was as “fun grandma”, to Paul Jacob (11), Harrison (10), and Zander (4). During this time of mourning, we remember Marti taking the kids on adventures all around St. Petersburg, sharing her culinary secrets and telling wild stories no one besides her grandchildren would believe but we hope they repeat. Marti will be remembered for her hearty laugh and how she loved others, nourishing them with her cooking. Marsha chose her words thoughtfully, and was always the quiet observer. Honoring that spirit her services will be held privately. Friends wishing to honor Marsha Dewar’s life and legacy are invited to an Open House at the home of Hannah and Paul Grosses Home, Sunday April 28th from 1pm-4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to LCC Day School in the name of her grandsons.
