Marsha "Malka Bat Yosef V Rachel" Penny Rosenfeld

Marsha Penny Toranto Rosenfeld, age 71, of Las Vegas, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016. Marsha was born December 29, 1944 in the Bronx, NY to the late Joseph and the late Rhoda (Rubin) Toranto. She grew up in Birmingham AL and earned her BA from Michigan State University and her Masters at Queens College. Marsha taught elementary school for 31 years in New York, mostly in Jamaica Queens. She met her husband, Mark, while they were both on vacation on Paradise Island, Bahamas and moved to New York after they were married in 1970. After retirement, she and her husband Mark moved to Sun City Summerlin, where she became very active in a number of clubs, including serving as President of the Sunshine Service Club and Temple Bet Emet Sisterhood, while also participating in the Ceramics Club, producing many items as gifts for family and friends. Together, they visited all seven continents. Marsha loved to read and participated in a number of book clubs, as well as the Sun City Canasta Club. Marsha is survived by her family, which she was extremely proud of, including her husband, Mark Rosenfeld of Las Vegas; children Jessica Rosenfeld of Las Vegas and Alan (Haruna) Rosenfeld of Kapolei HI; and grandson Rio Rosenfeld of Kapolei. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Dr., #104, Las Vegas, NV 89147.
