Martha Harrison Bostrom

Martha Harrison Bostrom passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the age of 95. She was born August 12, 1926, in Tucson, Arizona, to William and Alma (Gaines) Harrison. Martha graduated from Tucson High School and received a certificate from Bellingham Technical College. She married Robert Bostrom in 1946 and then moved to Bellingham, Washington. Martha was a strong, steadfast woman. She was a legal secretary until the age of 82 and taught classes at Whatcom Community College. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and Lady’s Lion Club. She was always impeccably dressed with matching pumps for any occasion. She treasured creating memorable family traditions surrounding holidays and special events. Martha was a beloved family member affectionately known as “Ba.” She will be missed by those surviving her, including a son, Robert B. Bostrom, and wife, Jeri, of Seattle; daughter, Leigh, and husband, Dennis Thompson, of Olympia; sister, May Bird, of Texas; sister-in-law, Joan Harrison, of Tucson, Arizona; grandson, Nick Thompson, of Shelton; granddaughter, Morgan, and husband, Colin Reilly, of Bellingham; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bostrom; and brother, Col. Henry Harrison. There will be a graveside service for immediate family.
