Tribute MARTHA LEE HAYES OCTOBER 5, 1940 – MARCH 29, 2019 Martha Lee Hayes, age 78, quietly slipped away into the arms of her Savior, early March 29th, 2019, with her loving family by her side. She was born to the late Joseph Shevchuk and Helen Tracas on October 5th, 1940 in Cicero, Illinois. The youngest of four siblings. Marty attended Morton Highschool where she met and fell in love with her high school sweetheart, James Christopher Hayes. In their freshman year they were introduced to one another and their journey began. They were married on April 7th, 1958 in Sioux City, Iowa and enjoyed 51 years of marriage. Marty was predeceased by her loving husband in 2009. Marty never met a stranger! Always friendly and interested in other people. She was immensely proud of her family and their accomplishments. She leaves to cherish her memories 3 daughters: Lisa Lucas, of Westminster, CO; Patty Hayes Moody, of Longmont, CO; and Sandy Boh of Broomfield, CO.; 7 grandchildren, Matthew and Nicholas Glassford, Laura Brubaker-Whittman, Emily Staley, McKenzie McClure, Abby and Zach Boh and 4 great-grandchildren; Kynlyn, Elijah, Serenity and Jayde.; as well as many devoted relatives and friends. She and her amazing smile will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown during this time of bereavement.
