Jawish (Zentz) Martha Eleanor (Mickie) Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 13, 2019, in residence at Lyngblomsten Care Center, St. Paul, MN, at the age of 89 years. She was born on October 25, 1929 in Nimrod, MN to George and Julia Zentz. Mickie made her home in North St. Paul, MN for most of her life. During WWII, she worked beside her mother assembling rifles for the war effort. She worked as a telephone operator in North St Paul and as a receptionist at Jantzen’s Motel in White Bear Lake, MN where she met many top country western stars who performed at local venues, like Willie Nelson and Conway Twitty. Mickie loved music, crocheting and Joe Mauer. She is preceded in death by husband Paul. Survived by children Michael (Mary), Richard (Raye), Pamela, John (Ginger), David (Lynn), JuliAnn (Daniel) Barrett; 10 grandchildren, Shane, Colton, Danielle, Jerry, Lisa, Larry, John Jr., Joey, Adam, Rachel; and numerous great grandchildren. Memorial Service Sunday (6/16) 2:00 PM at LYNGBLOMSTEN CHAPEL, 1415 Almond Ave., St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior to Service.
