Martha Susan McDougal MUFF May 27, 1951 - Dec 24, 2015 Martha Susan (Muff) McDougal of Tucson AZ, beloved sister, aunt, coworker, and friend passed away on December 24, 2015. Martha, daughter of Dr. William McDougal and Verna (Pat) Pasma McDougal, grew up with her brothers in Grand Rapids MI. She graduated from Creston High School, earned her bachelor's degree from Stevens College in Missouri in 1973, and her nursing degree from University of Arizona in 1976. Muff loved Tucson and made her residence there upon graduation, where she was employed as an operating room nurse at Tucson Medical Center and more recently at St. Joseph's Hospital. Martha loved animals. She was an avid horse enthusiast and valued spending time with her horses Peter and Oliver. Throughout the years, she had taken in an assortment of homeless dogs, most notably Molly, Duncan, and Norman, as well as many others, which contributed to, and were recipients of her joy and love. Muff was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Pat McDougal of Grand Rapids, and her brother, Dr. John Steven McDougal of Atlanta. She is survived by her loving family: brother Dr. William Scott McDougal, his wife Mimi and her extended family, of Manchester, Massachusetts; his daughter Molly; Muff's brother James Michael McDougal, his wife Susan of University Place, Washington; their children, Jason and his wife Kelly; Brianna and her husband Brandon Cooley, and grandnephews Ellis and Bode; and Muff's sister-in-law Linda McDougal (late Steve) of Atlanta, Georgia, and their children Peter, John, and Margaret.
