Martin Leno Perkins
June 18th, 1940 - February 18th, 2019
Lawrenceburg – Martin Leno Perkins, 78, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019. He was born in Jackson Kentucky on June 18, 1940 to the late Seldom and Lori Marie Vest Perkins. He was a Furnace Operator at Sylvania and a veteran serving 4 years with the Air Force and 22 years with the Navy. He loved deer hunting. Martin passed surrounded by his dogs. He was cantankerous and stubborn up until the end. He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Perkins, Lawrenceburg; his sister, Juanita Ladd, Versailles; his brothers, Boyd Perkins, VA, and Larry Perkins, AR; his grandchildren, Kimberly Perkins, David (Haley) Perkins, Robert (Samantha) Perkins, all of Lawrenceburg; his great grandchild, Jacob Perkins; his best friend, Phillip Cable; and his good friend, John Serafini. He was preceded in death by his son, James Edward Perkins; his sister, Joyce Daniel; and his brothers, Walter Perkins and Don Perkins. Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Robert Hawkins will be officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Jeff Daniel, Steve Hershey, Robert Perkins, David Perkins, Martin Perkins, and Steven Perkins. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of service on Thursday, February 21, 2019. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Clark Legacy Center in his memory to help with funeral expenses.
