Marty L. Martinez PHOENIX - Marty Lee Martinez passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018, at his home in Phoenix at the age of 92. He was born on May 6, 1926, to Edward Martinez and Lillie L. Lee. Marty served in World War II as a U.S. Naval morse code operator and was honorably discharged on May 29, 1946. On June 28, 1953, Marty married the love of his life, Andrea Hernandez. He worked for Good Samaritan Hospital for 10 years and served as Vice President of the Good Samaritan Hospital golf league in 1966. Survivors include his wife Andrea of 65 years; his two daughters, Jackie L. Hunsdon and Mary Ann Villegas; four grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; three brothers and three sisters. A memorial service will be held at Samaritan Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at 1505 E. McDowell, Phoenix, Arizona, from 9:00 am to noon. Burial ceremony will be held immediately following at St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix, Arizona. Online condolences can be expressed at www.samaritanfuneralhome.com
