Mary Jane Catcott

Mary Jane Catcott, age 77, of Sun City Center, FL passed away peacefully with family present on July 22, 2023 at Melech Hospice House. Mary was born in Canton, OH to Randall and Leora Butler and raised in North Canton, OH. She attended St Paul’s Catholic School and graduated from Hoover High School. Mary married James Edward Catcott in 1971 at St Paul's Catholic Church in Canton OH. Mary had 2 children and very much enjoyed being a homemaker. In 1980 Mary and her family moved to Tampa, Florida where she worked as an office manager. Later retiring to Sun City Center with her husband. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Leora and Randall Butler, and her husband James Edward Catcott. Mary is survived by her children Jennifer Catcott-Mixer and James R Catcott , her brother Robert “Bob” Butler and her sister Dorrie VanNeste, and by her two grandchildren, Lauren and Ian Catcott. Mary was a very loving and caring individual. She loved spending time with family and reading books. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and playing word games. Her laughter was contagious. Hallmark movies provided her with much joy in her later years. Her beautiful smile and charming spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.
