Mary L Chavez

Mary L. Chavez, age 78, born October 3, 1936 in Tahique, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Mrs. Chavez was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Chavez; and son, Michael Chavez. She is survived by her nine children, Betty Hernandez, Cathy Chavez, Helen Archuleta and husband, Edmond, Herman Chavez, John Chavez, Linda Chavez and boyfriend, Ray Martinez, Danny Chavez and girlfriend, Elena Garcia, Raymond Chavez and girlfriend, Victoria, and James Chavez; daughter-in-law, Jackie Chavez; eleven grandchildren, Deanne, Yvette, Frieda, Freddy, Michael, Solomon, April, Eddie Jr., Monique, and Angel; and fifteen great-grandchildren, James, Julian, Isaiah, Serenity, Abel, Jacqueline, Gina, Pauline, Dominic, Jesslynn, Zachary, Anissa, Natalie, and Elias; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her special friends, George and Wanda Bond, Sara Archuleta Trujillo, and her compadre, Valentine Archuleta. All services will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, beginning with visitation on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 6:00 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Final visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 9:00 AM, at the Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Michael Chavez, Solomon Chavez, Peter Chavez, Eddie Archuleta Jr., Isaiah Moya, and James Chavez. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Archuleta Sr., Valentine Archuleta Jr., Robert Archuleta Sr., and Ray Martinez.
