Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Cheshire, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 26, 2024. A graveside service honoring the life of Ms. Cheshire will be held Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 12 PM at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, Georgia.  Andy Pickens will be officiating. 

 

Kathy was born on April 19, 1934 in Georgetown, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Cleveland De Spain and Ruby Craughn De Spain. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald Cheshire; brother, Charles De Spain and brother in law, J.T. Woodcock.

 

Kathy devoted her life to serving her community and family. She retired as a civil service supervisor at Robins Air Force Base. She took great pride in her work and enjoyed teaching others. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family. Kathy was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and dear friend who will be missed by all who knew her. 

 

Kathy is survived by her cherished daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Ed Wojtna; step-sons: Gerald Cheshire and Harry (Sherry) Polen; brother, Danny (Carol) Keplinger; sisters: Cora (Jerry) Crowe and Vina Woodcock; one grandson, two great grandchildren, and a host of extended friends and family.
