Mary Elizabeth Cole

Warner Robins, Ga. – Mary Elizabeth (Howard) Cole went to be with her Lord and savior on Thursday, January 31, 2019 with her loving family at her bedside. Services celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 11:00 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service time. Mary was born on April 25, 1952 in Warner Robins to Warris Edward Jones and Roberta Howard Lane. Mary was full of energy who loved to make the most of any moment. Mary faithfully served her country in the United States Army. Mary continued to serve her country as a civilian until her retirement from Dobbins Air Force Base as a finance administrator. In her spare time, she loved to read, cook a spread, especially her stuffed mushrooms and seafood dishes for all her family and friends to enjoy. Mary was a very talented musician who played the clarinet, bongo drums, and even the saxophone. Mary was an avid motivational story teller and brought many smiles upon faces during the process. Mary was a devoted member of the Warner Robins CME Church where she faithfully served the lord in the church band. Mary will be remembered as an optimistic , honest, and outgoing individual who will be missed by all who knew that precious smile. Mary is preceded in death by her father: Warris Edward Jones; stepfather: R.C. Lane. Mary is survived by her mother: Roberta Howard Lane; daughters: Melinda Baptist, Ashleyell (Brandon) Reed; grandchildren: Isaac Reed; Siblings: Patty (Charles) Gibson, Cherie (Willie) Jolly, Vonda (Kenneth) Hubbard, Tioundra Lane, Linda Gleghorn, Jesse Bass, Edward Brown, Vivian Brown, and Jerry (Gerriadene) Lane.
