Mary Lee Connolly

Our Mother, Mary Connolly passed away on January 19, 2020 at the age of 75 after enduring a long illness. She is survived by her two daughters; Janice Linderman (San Tan Valley AZ) and Debbie Young (Avon CT). In addition to her brother Donnie Blankenship and her sister Martha Gaynor. She is predeceased by her husband John Connolly, son Doug Young, grandson Travis Linderman and brother Doug Blankenship. She spent her life doing what she loved, working as a Registered Nurse for 33 years at the VA Hospital in Phoenix, Tucson and Montrose NY. Her caring personality and commitment to each of her patients, made nursing the perfect fit for her. She displayed the same caring and devotion to all her friends and family. She enjoyed cooking on holidays for her friends at work. Besides her love of family, she was devoted to her four legged children as well. Although they could have used a couple weeks at fat camp! She truly loved them all. When we were youngsters, we would drive from New York to Texas with mom to see all the Texas relatives which included Papa, Grandma, Uncle Doug, Uncle Donnie and the whole clan. We would ride horses at the house and then go to Lake Texoma, Texas. At the lake we would go fishing for catfish, boating, skiing, and swimming. Mom had many happy memories there with all of us. Her remains will be scattered at Lake Texoma at the place she loved.
