COX, Mary Jo Morris, 82, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on January 22, 2019. She was born in Atlanta, GA and moved to the Tampa Bay area as a child. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1954. She later became a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. Mary worked for the United States Postal Service and retired after 25 years. She was a member of the Jesuit Mom’s Club, represented the MailCarriers Union, and was extremely involved with her son and grandson’s sports. After retirement, Mary and her husband traveled frequently in their RV. She enjoyed cooking and playing Bridge at the Lutz Community Center. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, & cat mom to Grayson. She is preceded in death by: husband of 50 years, Bernard A. “Nick” Cox. Mary Jo is survived by her son Nick Cox & his wife Karen and three grandchildren: Lindsey Elizabeth Cox, her husband Jonathan Tuttle & great grandchild on the way, Rachel Erin Cox, & Nicholas Bryan Cox.
