Mary Ann Deese

DEESE, Mary Ann, age 74, of Goose Creek passed away Monday, December 21st, 2020 at 11:30pm. She was born in Carrollton Illinois and was one of six children. She graduated from Southwestern High School in 1964 and attended college in Danville, Illinois. Although she spent her career in the medical field, her heart was in ministry. When her children were young, she acted as music minister at Spring Street Assembly and was active in producing both adults and children's plays. At PTL, she served as director of the People that Love Center which focused on finding housing and feeding the homeless. At Faith Assembly she enjoyed being in the choir and serving as a greeter with her husband Harold Deese. She began fighting dementia over a decade ago and attempted to hide that she was struggling to remember friends and lost the ability to quilt and craft. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, community volunteer, and friend who showed kindness and love to many people over the course of her life. She is preceded in death by her brother John. She leaves behind 2 children, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. They will miss her presence in their
